  • Resident will be comfortable obtaining central venous access

Learning Objectives


For the procedure of central venous access, resident will be able to:
  • Describe indications and contraindications (if any)
  • List commonly utilized anatomic locations
  • Describe any common or severe complications associated with each site
  • Name and describe equipment required
  • List and describe the steps involved
  • Demonstrate the ability to properly perform each step of the procedure from memory
