Goals and Objectives Goals Resident will be comfortable performing a lumbar puncture Learning Objectives For the lumbar puncture procedure, resident will be able to: Describe indications and contraindications (if any) Describe any common or severe complications Describe and demonstrate proper site selection using anatomic landmarks Name and describe equipment required List and describe the steps involved Demonstrate the ability to properly perform each step of the procedure from memory
